Procrastination - I’m a world champion!

After ten days on the IC and also recovering from a heavy cold I talked myself out of bed and into some Lycra this morning, but so many decisions and much faffing to do next.....

First - is it really a good idea and is my calf really better, second how far and how long for..

so I put off running while I read the forum and ate a banana, then decided a twenty minute walk with the dog would be a good warm up and an aid to decision making.

That went well so back home still undecided on time and distance to aim for. Thought about leaving the garmin behind so as not to pressure myself . Running husband is always keen to discuss split infinitives or something.

Eventually after feeding the dog , checking in on new grandchild on FaceTime and finding door keys (again) I made it out of the door....and finally decided on a graduation rerun of 30 mins with Laura for company .

Ran nice and slowly, no niggles, sun shining perfect day !

Well done Prettyrandom you're up and going again. Sounds like a perfect come back run! If you're anything like me you can look forward to that lovely delayed onset muscle soreness tomorrow or the following day reminding you not to take a 10 day break again! Enjoy your running.

Thank you! At 62 I was surprised how much I enjoyed the programme ( mostly) and stayed pretty injury free until the running husband started to get all over enthusiastic encouraging me to do a bit too much too soon!

I’m going to carry on at my own pace and improve slowly but surely. I’m sure I’ll beat him at this one day😂🏃‍♀️

Hope your running return is going well and you keep off the IC too

Well done you for doing your run having been laid up on IC and illness. Careful decision making and prep paid off, forum reading pre run has to be a must. I love those split infinitives! Happy running.
