Feeling like champions!

We want to post a few words of encouragement to all those undertaking the Couch to 5K challenge. My 21 year old daughter stumbled across the NHS podcast nine weeks ago and decided to embark on the training. I dragged my 58 year old, very tired body along on the spur of the moment. Neither of us have done absolutely any sporting activity before, we were completely unfit and felt self conscious running in our local park. There were times when we wanted to give up, especially me as my calf really hurt. We persevered and completed the training yesterday. We're elated. Whoever designed this course deserves a medal: you've turned two sedentary souls into active humans. If we can do it, anyone can.

Well done both of you - and yes, the whole course is brilliant. All of us on here were sedentary souls and are now active humans which is a lovely description.

And this forum is just so supportive and fantastic

Keep it up both of you xx

Well done, both! Excellent work!!! You are correct, it IS a brilliant program. :) it's 4 years since I started c25k- and my only regret is I didn't find the program decades earlier. Don't stop now. Keep it up! Treat yourself to a race (that first bling is very special).

Thank you so much to everyone who responded to my post. We went on our first run today after Monday's graduation and it's still not easy: my daughter lapped me on our local park's 1K track but I panted to the end! You can do it - believe in yourself.
