Week 5 run 2

I went into this run with a lot of negativity thinking I would never run for 8 minutes! Right up to the moment I started running I was saying in my head I can’t do this! I really should have trusted the program though because as soon as I started I knew I was going to make it to the end. Had such a smile on my face after that one 😀 Now for the big one! I will try to be more positive about this one.

This is a wonderful program - like you I felt so negative in week one but my accomplishments have amazed me - especially as I started at age 70. I was ultimately running for 40 minutes. I’ve had to stop recently because of sciatica but hope to get going again as soon as I can. Good luck.

In a funny way I am looking forward to the next one now. I think I see it as some kind of turning point. If I can do that then I can do anything 😂

Well done, I found my confidence grew a little bit with each new run and very slowly the negative voices learned to shut up!
