Well it’s week one, day 1 tomorrow..... I’m sure I can do it though is I did C25K two years ago and got to whatever week the 20 minute run is on....

Scary though... dodgy knees and overweight but determined.

Wish me luck! 😬🙏🏼🤞🏼

Thanks Oldfloss. Didn’t have this app or the support before - think it’s wonderful!

As above... well said.

Just you. You can do it.

I love the kind words and wisdom this group brings. I just joined a local running group and the kindness (in person as well as on line) is brilliant.

Might be worth seeing if there are local clubs near you? We're learning a c25k together then get homework on top to practise. It's free and run by volunteers. People can be kind! It put my faith back in humanity. 😊

Aww thanks Zara. Just did my first run. Was shocked when the voice said you can slow to a brisk walk after the first run! Was so surprised at myself! Then ran the next 3 ok then got awful palpitations and went a bit dizzy. Paused the app and then picked it up again and finished it. Sooo pleased. :)

Good for you for finishing. How amazing do you feel when you finish running on each day that you do it. Loving it. :)

Can I ask how you managed to get your profile pic in the right place?! Tried numerous times but my pic moves either to the right or to the bottom of the circle!

You may need to crop it so there is little opportunity for it to be moved off-centre.

You’ll do this... come and talk to us often... most here run every other day, so we are running right there with you. We can cheer you on when it’s great... sometimes it’s hard work and then we can swap notes about our experiences and have you ready for the next run. Enjoy your journey.

You’ll love it. Just take it at your own pace and enjoy.

I’ve found a lot of strength in this group. Everyone is so helpful when I’ve needed support.

I’m on week 7 and can’t believe how far I’ve come (I’m overweight and before this a non runner)

All the best to you.

Wow! That’s fantastic! Well done! Has it helped with weight loss? Or inch loss? But well done!

Week 1 day 1 for me too tomorrow and also an overweight non runner. I had lost a fair bit of weight and had got quite fit over the last couple of years but had problems with a very underactive thyroid over the last 9 months and have not had much energy to do anything so feel like I'm starting from scratch with regards to fitness. I am doing this as part of a running club with people I haven't met yet so hopefully it will be a bit more enjoyable and will be held accountable and less likely to give up. Good luck to all of us on this journey!

You'll be fine, just don't overdo it.

Well I did it! Ran the first 3 runs fine then got awful palpitations so had to pause the app until they went. Then got up and finished it! Took about 40 minutes but I’m soo chuffed!

Read about how to avoid the palpitations and I think I was dehydrated. No water before my run or during so I’ll make sure I hydrate properly on Wednesday!

Thank you all for your amazing support! Have the best day ☺️
