W4, R1 - Ouch

Ouch. After running only twice in the last 2.5 weeks due to various circumstances - family illness, personal illness, new job, crises at home, pure laziness...... I finally got out for week 4 this morning.

Really bloody tough, I didn't finish either of the 5 minute runs, but I'm glad I got out there and did it! I found the week 3 runs fairly straightforward (redoing w3r3 were the 2 runs over recent weeks) so I'm going to have my rest day and then try w4r1 again. I'm determined to get this done! :-)

I had a stomach bug after week 7 run 1. When I got better I tried to do week 7 run 2 but it was not happening. I swallowed my pride and jogged as much as I could, then walked, jogged as much as I could and then walked. I re-hydrated and did my makeshift week 7 runs twice. It was raining so I got on a treadmill and was able to finally complete week 7 run 2. You’ve got this! Life gets in the way sometimes but do what you can do. You will be back to where you were soon. Take care of yourself and happy running!

That’s the spirit - you got out there and you ran for part of it! You’ll do it. Slow and steady!
