Welcome..are you on the C25K programme..?

Please check out our FAQ post for new runners..😊
Welcome to the forum and well done on your running.
This guide to the Couch to 5k training plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5...
Because you can run 5k does not mean that your body is conditioned to do so without a hugely increased risk of injury. That is the purpose of C25K, to condition your body with a gentle progression in demand, so that in about 9 weeks you will be able to run for thirty minutes, which may or may not be 5k. Having completed the plan, 5k is normally within easy reach and your body will be better adapted to cope with those demands.
I would recommend any new runner follow a plan such as C25K.
Take care.
Enjoy your journey.
