Wk2R2 done 😃

Struggled to get through this but reflecting back on how it went I think this was more in my head than physically. Can’t say I enjoyed it much physically either but feel good that I did it. I still can’t imagine that next week I will be able to do 3 mins in one go but I guess again that is a mental hurdle as well as a physical one to overcome. Hope one day I will be able to enjoy running

You sound just like me, and I am now in week 3. 😊

Go us! I felt like this prior to starting and recognise that in some ways it is a mental fight as well as a physical one. I’m determined to do it and already feel that my mood has lifted and hopefully my physical fitness will follow along too and eventually I will enjoy it too!

Best of luck on your journey too. We should be proud of ourselves ✋🏼 x

Trust in the plan, it will get you to where you need to be each week. Much of it is a mental battle rather than physical and you will overcome the unhelpful gremlins.

As Julia187 says, trust the plan. Each run and each week prepares you for the next. I expect it will take your body 4 weeks or so just to get used to the things you are making it do! You're just starting out, think of this as a 9 week introduction and platform for your future running and better health and fitness. Keep it slow and steady, you'll be fine. You'll feel great when you graduate. Good luck and enjoy your running

I know everyone says trust the plan but it is so true. Only a few weeks ago I thought running 3 mins felt like a marathon. It took me three attempts to get past week three. This morning I ran for 25mins. I thought I would never do that. And you will think that but you will do it.

Keep coming on here as this is the most supportive group of people I have come across!

That’s encouraging to hear. Thank you!

The support and advice from others has been invaluable.
