Wk5R3 done!

So I was due to run yesterday morning and it was pouring down. My son and I made a pact the night before that we would do it anyway. He needed pushing to get up. (It was only 6 am though!) I was surprisingly ready to go. He runs at his own pace and route and we meet up half way. It was wet but that 20 minutes was totally do-able and I did it! I was surprised I could keep going, especially when the app went back to “you’ve done 5 minutes” when I had actually done 10! I think my phone was wet and it played up so at least I had the map my run App open too and kept track with that. I am proud of myself for completing week 5. Never thought I could run for 20 minutes straight and it was my first run in the rain which was actually quite nice as it was cooling. A few weeks ago when I started, I never thought I’d get this far and now I’m running before I go to work and surviving the day. It’s great!

Ty. Yes it seemed so unobtainable before I did it but I found it wasn’t a struggle. The end is in sight now though I will carry on after week 9.

Congratulations on completing run 3 of week 5, that is a milestone run with C25K. Onwards and upwards to week 6 run 1 but be careful about that run as it catches out some people with the interval walks and runs.

Intrigued as shouldn’t it be easier?

Yes, you do have a break from running, but take the running parrs particularly slowly.
