Wk6r2 running in the rain πŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸŒ§οΈ

Looking out the window at all the rain at 6 this morning didn't fill me with joy I must admit, phone in a plastic sandwich bag I set off in the rain for my r2 of wk6....who would of thought that running in the rain would be so much fun! Made even better by the fact that I totally smashed it πŸ˜πŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸŒ§οΈ even when the rain started to drip off the my hair onto my nose. That run was amazing and I'm feeling fantastic... Bring on r3 😍😍

I did my last run of wk5 and it was my first rain run yesterday and enjoyed it - never thought I’d put rain, run and enjoy in the same sentence but that’s what this programme does to us! Well done to you!

And well done to u on completing week 5. I can't wait for my next run. I won't be put off by the rain anymore, I still don't like it if its too cold though lol dreading next winter coming πŸ˜‚. X

It's all about layers!.

My favourite temperature is around 2-3Β°C.

So crispy, refreshing, not arriving home a hot sweaty mess.

I'm dreading a decent summer 😰😰

I'm not so worried about summer as I run through trees and early in the morning mostly 😁

Oh come on! What about joys and challenges when running in total humidity and 30C plus temperatures with lower oxygen and type of sticky heat that makes you sweat all over through the night when in bed by the wide open window, savaged by mosquitoes? What l learned from it is that cold beer after a run never tastes better! That's normally the highlight of my July/August holiday trip. Can hardly wait! ;)

Well I don't know we're you live lol but never get them temps here and I don't think I could walk far in that never mind run.!!😜

Sarf London, mate, but love holidays in hot climates, good for them bones. Nothing beats Adriatic or the Med in high summer.

Well I'm in the North East bit cooler here lol and don't holiday abroad 😜

Having a few issues with muscle recovery. I wrote a post yesterday - have taken a step back and spacing runs out. Have added in some biking to help. You’ll be in front of me. You are doing so well. Keep it up! 😊

β€’ in reply to

Thanks, sorry I didn't see any posts yesterday was a really busy day for me. 1are u giving ur self bit extra time to recover? X

β€’ in reply to

Yes, doing a bike, rest, run, rest, bike etc. Today was the first bike session - I did 25mins as that would normally be the duration of my run. Rest tomorrow, run Sunday, which will be my first since Tues. Just going to take it easy. If I need extra rest days to recover I’ll take them. 😊

Sounds like a good plan. Good luck with your run on Sunday πŸ€
