I got sock envy!

During last few weeks having seen beautiful sock pics on here, I suffered an attack of sock envy! I dismissed the notion that I needed running socks, but then, last week after a 9k run, I felt the merest soreness on my toe. It lasted a good 2 seconds; however I thought it foolish to ignore such a potentially important warning signal. And thus I ordered these socks. First outing today for my first 10k and they felt like cushions of air around my feet. Clearly I needed them as I completed the 10k! And not even a hint of soreness on the feet!

Lovely running socks Dowat, I suppose if I go for a gait analysis and buy the recommended shoes, I should also buy a good pair of running socks as well.

Absolutely you should. They come with a high ‘feel good’ factor!

I bought some proper running socks early in and never really thought about it since. Yesterday all my kit was in the wash but I wanted to run. I hauled out my favourite bra, still slightly damp but thought running I damp socks would be a bad idea, so I ran with normal “sport” socks from Matalan. My feet felt like they were slipping around inside my trainers, and I had a few sore patches after - and I only ran 4K. I will definitely be getting more proper socks for future laundry emergencies!!

That’s interesting to know and validates my purchase! Happy sock buying! Enjoy!
