Well as Victor Meldrew would say "I don't bloody believe it" I only went and ran 10k this morning.
Me yes old fat me. 7 months after deciding to get a bit fitter I just ran 6.2 miles in 69.32. All on my lonesome with a great playlist.
Set out to do 6k and decided at 5k that I would try for 7k ( only done that once before) and at 7k the next one was downhill so did that one too. I wasn't giving up after that so a flat 9th k and then the 10th with a bit of a hill which nearly killed me but I did it.
I'm a bit sore now but done 23k this week
Happy days
Right I'm off for a well earned steak and chips and a pint
Congratulations to you Wolvesmad on running your first 10K, good time too. π π Happy day's indeed

Good win Daznvern and possibly European footy β½οΈπ₯ next year so exciting times ahead. 10k for me is exciting too As I never planned to ever run that far. Just shows what you can do if you put your mind to it
That's amazing!! Well done you, you must be super proud. Can't imagine doing that distance anytime soon. Very inspiring. Enjoy that well deserved pint!! π»π
My previous best was 8k and only once about 3 months ago. In fact ive only ever run more than 6k twice in 7 months but somehow yesterday it felt right as i was going round and even though I knew i might not do it I got to a stage where it was all or nothing. I find it's easy for the gremlins in my headπ€―π€― to make me shorter routes but I was having none of it yesterday. Prepared to walk 4k home if I had to ππ
