I hadn’t been looking forward to this one as my last run was on Monday and I felt I might have left too long a gap between then to keep the pace/distance up. Oh and I was also violently sick last night thanks to some dodgy cinema food; so to say I was apprehensive this morning would be an understatement.
The local Parkrun was my place once again and I found it good to have “pacers” to ensure I am not running too fast (something I find myself doing at times). Granted these pacers don’t know they are doing it but they are a big help keeping me on track. Can’t say I am actually enjoying the running park but I am loving the sense of achievement when Jo tells me well done. And, as I didn’t swear at her once during this run I consider that a bonus

Absolutely brilliant, you’re nailing it consistently now, I’ve just got back from my park run & if Strava is correct I’ve got a new Pb 😊. But you must remember that you will not always run faster than last time, external influences can hinder you. Just keep positive, believe me I know how hard it can be some times, and carry on 👍 I can’t wait to see your” finished couch to 5k post” go on my son👍😎🏃♂️💨
Results are in and I made 36:39! I know I’m not doing this for the time but it’s still great to see an improvement. This is 5 minutes more running (crawling) the. I did for my first park run too
