So today I did my final run in this 9 week stretch!

I ended up running past when Sarah said to stop as I was so close to 5k! Ended up hitting my first ever 5k in 38mins! So elated!

Can’t say I’ve enjoyed it, but have persevered and kept at it religiously 3 times a week! It’s not my favourite thing to do but it is free and clears your mind and headspace

To anyone that doubts this app, it truly does work, I went from nothing and willing the one minute run to be over to running past the time they say stop to hit my goals! It is also okay to walk, I have moments where I need a quick rest so walk a little even though I’m meant to be running and that is completely fine, you know your own body better than anyone ever will, you do what’s best for you!

Onwards and upwards now, good luck to all who have started their journey and congrats to those who have completed.

you CAN do this!

Fantastic! Are you going to keep going for 30 minutes or aim for 5k when you do your consolidation runs?

Thanks 😊 knowing me probably 5k as I have done it once and it was only and extra 8 minutes, if I want an easier day then I would do a slow 30

Where are you in the plan?

I'd be tempted to do the extra too, just don't injure yourself at this late stage! I'm on Week 7, doing Run 3 tomorrow. Nowhere near 5k, just taking it slow but I have entered a local 5k in early June so I want to increase my pace by then...

Best of luck for the 5k! You’ll smash it keep following the plan and you’ll be fine 😊

Congratulations and very well done to you for your great achievement. Like you I did it 2 years ago, couldn’t say I enjoyed it, but I stuck at it, 3 x 5K runs per week. I would be lost now without it. It’s an enjoyable habit and starting to become a consuming passion.

Get yourself to a Parkrun soon.

Thank you 😊

Parkrun is the next goal then continuing the momentum, hopefully it will be okay without the app as that has become a kind of safety blanket πŸ˜†

Many congratulations on your graduation fellow runner.

This guide to post C25K running may be helpful healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

Are you running juice and slow, at a pace that you can comfortably speak clear ungasping sentences as you run? This pace is much more enjoyable and is ideal for building stamina, as you will find out if you read the above guide.

Keep running, keep smiling.
