Slightly Apprehensive!

Have just completed Week 1. Managed it but wasn't easy. Feeling a little apprehensive about moving forward onto week 2. Wondering should I repeat week one until it feels easier? Although r3 wasn't horrendous it was still a challenge. Any tips?

It’s up to you really, there’s no pressure to complete the plan in the 9 weeks but generally the idea is that if you complete the runs, you’re prepared and ready for the next week. Go for it - you can always repeat a run in the next week if you need to!

We were all the same starting out. Just relax and enjoy the journey. Getting off the couch and running for the first time is hard. But the C25K plan works, trust it and give week 2 a go. Each week is a progressive move forward. Be positive and tell yourself that you can do this. You can do this. I did it, 2 years later I’m 2 stone lighter and running 10K. Believe in yourself.

Good on you. Let us know how it goes.

Give it a go, believe me I ran around the field crying 😭 in the beginning, dizzy because I could not breathe and decided to wear a bright scarf in case I dropped dead in the field but today I ran week5 run 3 , 20 minutes, cried with delight, still bright scarf now for joy...if I can do it trust me so can you can too...enjoy it all 🏃‍♀️

I wouldnt repeat week1 personally as you achieved it and although it is a step up week2 you will be prepared. I felt aprehensive about moving on to next week but found it is achievable.

Amazing you completed W1, well done! You’re body is already conditioning and preparing for the next run. My advice is give it a go and if you struggle I.e. you do not complete the run then replay the previous run. Like you say, it was challenging but you completed it so you have it in you to attempt the next run. These first few weeks are so fun so enjoy the journey :)
