Feel like Forest Gump !!!! 😂

It was my long run yesterday and had been taken out for lunch so waited 3 hours before I ran.

After watching the London Marathon I was so impressed and motivated by the sheer determination of the runners that I managed my longest run (slow and steady) but I would never have thought I could get this far, started C25K in January.

Felt like Forest Gump and looked like I had ran a marathon at the end but worth the feeling at the end !

Fantastic! That must be a great feeling! I saw an hour or so of the marathon, managed to catch the end of the elite and para races, it was very inspiring. My friend tagged me in the post for next year’s ballot but I think that’s a bit of a stretch 😂😂😂

I watched it too Jill and always makes me emotional when you see how everyone helps each other through it. Even thought “shall I” but that passed shortly when I actually realised it would take me about 10 hours 😂🏃‍♀️😅

Same here 😂😂😂 It’s the first time I’ve actually been interested, plus the MD of the company I work with was running. She did it in 3 hrs 42 minutes n her pace was so consistent all the way through, I was well impressed. I can’t see any marathons in my future though 😂😂

That’s a great time ! I can see me eating a marathon (if you remember when they were called that) 😂

Yeah, I remember that far back lol. I wouldn’t even do that, I don’t like them 😂😂

It's great when you catch that "just felt like runnin" feeling! 👍😁

Fantastic! Well done for a very respectable distance and time. It's amazing how far you have come in just a short time!

Great running. Those marathons runners also finished runs of this length looking and feeling like they’d run 26.2 once! Happy running.

Very true ! Didn’t think of that...just worked out how many KM 26.2 miles are. If I start running now I may finish by next year 😂😅😳

I could handle the first 8-10k... then walk... and probably some crawling in the last 10k. No matter where I look gloves for running aren’t distinguished by road/trail though so I don’t know which to get for road crawling.

😂😂 I’ve got the picture now in my head of us crawling along on the floor next to the people dressed up right at the back 😂😂

Woo hoo!! Well done you!! Are you still doing the Nike ‘my coach’ four week thing? I’m really enjoying how it mixes things up... I’m on intervals tomorrow... 😬 x

I have cancelled the “my coach” and will re start at end of May only because I’m running the “Miles for Mind” charity in May so have to do a specific amount of km by the end of the month but did do a week or so and found it really good, still use the Nike app for all my runs. Glad your really enjoying it....good luck for tomorrow and love to know how it goes.
