I just wanted to pop in to say thank you to all who post regularly. I have lurked on here for months as I plodded my way through the C25K and this forum has sometimes been the only thing that has made me keep on running. There are probably an awful lot of us who don’t post but do read these forums and I really appreciate those of you who make the effort to post / reply regularly.
I am a 50 year old woman who has never been particularly athletic but this programme has changed the way I see exercise. I tried to complete it last year but didn’t quite make it through but a wee voice kept telling me to try again. This year I have run slower (thanks to the advice on here) and what a difference it has made. I completed the C25K a couple of weeks ago and ran just over 4k in 30 minutes which I am very happy with. A year ago I would have been disappointed that I didn’t manage the 5k in 30 minutes but now I understand that this is just the beginning of my running journey.
I am now looking at distance rather than time and yesterday I ran 5k in 37minutes. The sudden change in temperature has shocked me a bit and I think I need summer running gear .
If you are new to this just stick to the plan, run slow and keep going … it really does work

That's brilliant, good on you for giving it another go! I love reading people's success stories on here - it's really helped me to trust in the programme and believe that I can do it too.
Congratulations on graduating and also on that 5k... that’s a very good time for a first one too. You deserve some big summer running gear for sure. Happy running.
A woman after my own heart!! I love the slow running and I did a lovely 50 minutes today, nice and slow (Japanese slow jogging style) felt I could run forever. Many congratulations on completing c25k & here’s to many years of happy & slow running! x
