Music, Music, Music!!

I graduated last week & during my journey through Couch to 5k, I just had Jo in my ear, but no music. The challenge I had was that in between her encouraging words, I would fill the void with negative thoughts 'This is so hard', 'I'm going to stop when I get to that tree' etc, etc. I never did stop, but my negative head definitely made some of the runs far harder. Post graduation I've loaded up on a great playlist to run along to & cannot believe the difference it makes. Now I just listen to the music, let my mind drift to all kinds of positive places & I'm enjoying the running so much more!! I really don't know why it took me 'til graduation to discover this. Anyway, for anyone struggling with those demons that tell you that you can't run another step, get some great tunes, crank up the volume, drown out the negative thoughts & get running!!

Music whether it's your own playlist from iTunes, Spotify or a music radio station does help many on their runs, podcasts do as well, they are usually talks, I am not sure if they make you go faster but in some other ways helps you have a better run
