Week 3 done and some back fat gone!

So I’ve completed week 3 this morning. Can’t believe I’ve even made it this far to be honest!

A friend gave me a playsuit 3 weeks ago. I tried it on and couldn’t get the zip done up at the back. I tried it on again this morning to see if there was any progress (must admit I though this was wishful thinking) and it fits! I have altered my diet slightly along side the running but yet to notice any real changes so it has made me realise body changes are happening 😀

Well done.

Have you measured hips, thighs and bum? They will all tone up.

Thank you! No I stupidly only measured my waist 🤦🏻‍♀️ perhaps I’ll measure be rest later and start those from next week.

Congratulations! Amazing isn't it? I'm a lot more positive when I'm running, puts me in a better place. They talk about the physical benefits but the main reason I run is for my mental health. Good luck and bring on week 4! 👊😁

Thank you, it is! I feel much more positive, also want to go into summer feeling more body confident and not getting angry every time I go shopping (especially when 4 years ago I lost lots of weight and looked incredible!). Looking forward to the challenges week 4 brings 💪🏼

You’ve found a great thing for your mind and body! I think more people should know that dieting without exercise is really bad for us, and probably why we gain again after a weight loss focused only on food. If you diet without exercise your body will give up its muscle rather than fat - it’s easier and your not using them! But by using your muscles and building more, your body is forced to burn its fat, and a key point is your muscle uses up more calories than fat - just by being there. So your metabolism is just faster, even while resting just by having more muscle! So you’ve made a great choice. I’ve lost nearly a stone (and many many inches!) via running and it feels permanent because I’ve run it off! So great that you are noting the differences already, and this can be a life long way to stay healthy!

Oh I needed to hear this! I will be starring week three next week and I honestly cant see me managing three minutes........however if less back fat is the prize I will force myself! Congratulations! I look forward to being able to say the same thing!

It’s small changes and if it wasn’t for the playsuit I’d have never have noticed the change. It’s all very gradual and I’ve probably only lost a couple of Ib’s but glad my body shape is starting to change.

Also I was really concerned about week 3 but I managed it, you’ll be fine 😊
