I’ve found tonight difficult, harder than the last one. Could this be because it was later in the day and after my evening meal or could it be due to having a day where I have been sat down a lot? I’m glad I stuck to it though👍🏻💯😁

I was the same with this one but I think I started off too quickly. Once I slowed down it was fine. Well done persevering with it.

First... great job completing it.

Could be both reasons. Keeping the legs loose helps... I don’t sit for more than an hour... drives people mad in the cinema 😂 and I’m trying to get that to 30 minutes.

Depending on the meal... it’s normally best to leave two hours and if it’s a heavy meal 4 before running. Small snacks like a banana can be 45-60 minutes before the run and help to keep the hunger at bay for the run... and dinner tastes so wonderful after a run.

Enjoy run 3.

Thank you for the reply, and the advice, I don’t usually have to sit that long, I was on a training course, it did make me restless!! I will enjoy the last run this week as I am determined to complete C25K, 😘

I was trying to run after finishing a 12hr night shift and I found these runs were the harder ones to complete. I definately prefer to run 1st thing in the morning! Also you shouldn’t eat within 2 hours of running!

Hi there yes it’s going to get a bit tough but guess what you’re body will get used to it I’m on W5R1 next I find it easier early on like people say give your body time you will notice that you will be able to run longer soon but give your food time to go down and hydrate plenty before a run as you don’t want stitches also stretch before and after your run I find it helpful just be smart about it as you don’t want to be stiff the next morning most people have been there I have I even stretch if I hurt it helps your recovery 🏃‍♀️😉 happy running

Well done for doing it. I just done W2R2 this morning. I feel it's easier on an empty stomach and not so fully awake, at least when I start! Good luck!

The danger in the middle of week 2, and it is still there later in the programme, is to think "I've got this", and run too fast. You have got the motivation now, but the muscles and the energy infrastructure of your body (lungs for oxygen, liver for fat conversion, kidneys for cleaning the waste out, and most of all arteries for carrying the energy about) are still adapting. This is why we keep saying 'slower than that'.

The younger and generally fitter you are the greater the temptation to run too fast. Us unfit oldies have a slight advantage here.

I always find it's best to run on an empty stomach. And if it isn't possible, then run even slower.

You are doing great.

👏❤
