I tried Zombies Run today which was a bit of fun but not so good on a treadmill. I'm going to give Nike Run Club a run next and try one of their guided runs to see how I get on with that. Good luck with whatever you choose.

I also do Run an empire but would recommend doing in conjunction with NRc guided runs as the game doesn’t talk.

I've never seen that one but will definitely check it out.

I know some on the forum have redone from week 1 but instead of walk breaks they do a slow jog and a faster step in the run sections :)

Have you seen the C25k podcasts- there’s one for speed, distance and something else which I forget... I really enjoyed using them after graduation.

I use Strava to map runs. Unfortunately there’s no motivational Laura but the info is good. Think if you go premium you can have someone to guide you through.

It took me ages to track down the subsequent podcasts recommended in bowlofsteam's reply but searching "NHS Couch to 5K+ NHS Choices" brings them up at the top of my search engine results. Do that on you phone and the link takes you to the app store from where it's easy to download the podcasts

I’m not there yet but planning to try Nike Run club app, my sister uses it and says it’s good and you can get them to set you up a training plan or just do their guided runs.

Congratulations! "Park Run" is a 5K run every Saturday morning at 9am in lots of towns around the country. It's really fun & friendly. Go on the website to find out if there's one near you.

I'm just running every other day and gradually building my speed and stamina, but to make it more interesting I alternate between running at a faster pace for 30 mins, and running a slower pace but keeping going til I hit 5k, which currently takes me 37-38 mins to run. You just have to find what's right for you really. The first week after Graduation was tough for me, I felt a bit directionless ha x

That's what I'm worried about so need something to focus on

I had a bit of a wobble post graduation. I tried various plans but in fact I wasn’t ready for them. I would recommend you keep to your 3 runs a week routine and just do 30’ each time. Repeat that for a month, you’ll see a marked improvement by the end. If you can, do a Park Run, that gives a routine.

By the time you’ve done an extra month of running you’ll have an idea of what you want to do. For me it was add some time, so went to 35’ and then eventually 40’.

Not what you're looking for?
