Week 4 fear defeated

I was really daunted at the thought of stepping up to Week 4 but I gritted my teeth and remembered the encouragement given at early stages. So...I’ve done it and feel the best I’ve felt so far! Couldn’t believe it when Sanjeev said I’d be doing 2 x 5 minute runs! Must now change my mindset from fearing the next stage to looking forward to it as a challenge. Sounds so obvious now that I say it!

Great job... you were ready for it. Maybe fear nothing... maybe else find another fear and kick its butt too 😂.

You’re right though... you keep surprising yourself... that’s because you can do anything with a good plan and some hard work... it’s time to believe! I’m fairly sure that that fella next to you in your profile picture knows that you’re awesome already... ask him about it. Have a wonderful next run.

I’m on week 4, one run to go! Can’t quite believe I’ve done 5 minutes uninterrupted!

Hi! Well done for having the determination to go for it and wonderful that you felt so good afterwards 😊.

My experience of W4R1 was so similar! I was in completely the wrong mood and it was the first day that I lacked any motivation to get up and out, but I’m so glad I did it! We must trample those self-doubt gremlins back into the ground when they raise their ugly heads. It was also my best run.

I finished the week on a high yesterday and I’m off to shop for proper running shoes tomorrow - my treat for getting this far. Like you, I’m looking forward to the challenge of W5 - approaching it with a very different mindset to W4.

Well done you, keeping going!!

Isn't the feeling great when you've completed a run you were not sure of well done 😊

Thanks to all for support - I definite wouldn’t be at this stage without this forum. 🙏
