Should have done W7R2 on Easter Sunday but, as it was such a nice day, spent most of it at the seaside instead (East Lothian is good for that). Did it yesterday instead so, all going to plan, W7R3 tomorrow.
Then it gets a bit tricky. Due to a 7s tournament on Saturday, and a few days down in London at the start of next week, it looks like W8R1 won't be until next Thursday.
Can't be helped, but as its my first 7s tournament since I started the programme, it'll be interesting to see how the additional fitness I've gained helps me.
FWIW over the course of a full 15-a-side game, I usually cover 5-6km, albeit in stop/start bursts of 10-30 seconds, covering 5-50m. 7s, well that's a whole other kettle of fish.
Prey for me...

Yeah... 7s is intense! Have a great time at that tournament.
Life can get in the way... that beach day is good for the mind, the extra rest day is good for the running sometimes too. You’ve hit the nail on the head though... this isn’t all about running, it’s also about having the increased health and fitness to be able to do other things, and even to enjoy them. It will be interesting to see how much difference you feel at this stage... please report back on that.
It's easier for the players, they run a few metres, get tackled and get to lie down for a bit. Us poor referees never get to stop (unless there's an ever-so-convenient knock-on or forward pass, of course...😉)
