After a heart attack in Feb 2013 weighing over 17 stone and only just turned 43 a big wake up call to change lifstiye. Done a few changes in the first year after. Then just after Xmas2014 done the nhs 12 week plan including 5k coach.started off weighing over 16 stone was no runner at all by any means.stuck to sometimes felt I could jump a week something repeated a week.I always went out early in the morning so nobody would see me. Now after a year could not evening think of life with out running. It's the only time I get to listen to my music.I am now in the twelve stones quick is great very happy with the. All though if I could turn back time I wouldn't have had a heart attack. Onething I forgot to add was all so smoking around 20 a day.just fell a 100%better now good luck everyone IF I CAN DO IT YOU CAN PISS IT !!!!!!!

Great stuff Gareth! The sense of achievement is coming through loud and clear! Sounds like you've changed your eating habits as well as taking up running. I wonder if there were one or two things that you did or changes you made that you feel really made a difference?

Eating habets changed a lot the hairy dieters books a great help done the nhs 12 week plane twice now each time lost around a stone and a half but the mine thing a find is set yourself small goals and rewards my best reward was when I hit13 stone getting a fred perry pole shirt which I wanted for years but wouldn't with my man books lol

Inspiring story Gareth!

Many of us have only decided rather late on to do something about our health and only now really appreciate the difference. Still, we've done it now. Long may we reap the benefits!
