life getting in the way!

i have completed W1 & W2, and have been running one day, two days off, running one day, two days off since the beginning.

I like routine otherwise I fear I won't stick to something.

However I moved house yesterday, and it should have been a run day but I just had no energy at all!

I'm up this morning and I'm in my run gear ready to head out now to start W3, but I can't help being disappointed in myself for letting myself have 3 days off in a row so early on.

It's ok there is nothing to beat yourself up about. When there are 'real' reasons for not running on a given day you can let yourself off, no punishment required 😀. It's only when you make up 'reasons' not to run you need a talking to.

Have a good run when you next get out there.

I think you can relax about this one. Moving house is not (one would hope) be something you are doing very frequently, so not something you have to work out how to fit into your life or fit your running to.

Sometimes, that's going to happen. Don;t beat yourself up about it. T'is done. Look forward and get back into your routine. One wee blip along the way won't do any harm.

This running lark is going to be part of your life, long term so get used to the idea that you will miss the odd day now and again. It's no big deal, just life in general.

I completely get what you mean. I ran Mon, Wed, Fri through the programme BUT with post-grad perspective I would advise that running also has to just slot in to our lives.

If it becomes too fixed and important then we are setting ourselves up 'for failure'.

Routine is important to get it ingrained but moving house isn't just 'an excuse'!

Don't sweat it, sometimes life throws things at us , just have to roll with it ☺extra rest days are perfectly ok and good for you , hope your run went well

Absolutely no need to feel disappointed with yourself, no wonder you had no energy after moving house!!

Hope the run went well x
