Just completed R1 W8 and really enjoyed this run. I felt I wanted to keep going when Sarah said to slow down. Of course I did not because I am following the plan to the letter (why wouldn’t you when it works so well).

Because I had some left in the tank do I try and run a little faster next time or do I just stay at this 🐌 pace?

Well done you... just keep it steady.. It is a great idea always to leave some left in the tank :)

I know I was glad of it for the last mile of my first Half Marathon at the end of March :)

Just relax and enjoy these lovely longer runs as you head towards the podium:)

You are doing wonderfully, and when you have graduated... the time spent trying out ideas for speed and distance will be so exciting:)

Thank you for your advice Oldfloss. I almost keep forgetting that there will be running after C25K....so no need to rush things.

Congratulations on completing a half marathon....that is awesome!

I’d save what you’ve got in the tank for week 9 😊

Hi Twinkle2, I’ve also just finished W8R1 and was genuinely surprised when Sarah said only 5 mins left. Saying that it was one of my most difficult because as soon as I started running I realised I needed the loo! So many lessons to learn in these weeks and today is one I’ll definitely remember. Graduation not far off now! 😀

Hahaha Jelly-bean16. My first 60s of running is always...I need the loo..my legs are aching already...why bother, you won’t do it.

Can’t believe 5 runs 🤞🏻left until we graduate 😀

Well done for getting out good and early, I’m just back from W7 run 1. I felt I had a bit left in the tank and staying alive by the bee gees was playing so I did a bit of mad dancing at the end! So glad no one saw me !

Always run a 6am Myzinnyboy. It used to be because nobody was about but now it’s because I love that time in the morning and I run better on an empty stomach.

Hahaha thought I was the only one to end the run with a mad dance or a song out loud 💃🏻🕺🏻😮🎤

Another great run! Graduation is round the corner - slow and steady all the way. Can’t wait for you to say you’ve done it!! 😊🏃🏽‍♀️

I used to be same running early in the pitch black light on my head so no one saw me ! Now I am not bothered who sees me but not the mad dancing!

Fantastic progress! It's good to always have a little in the tank at the end of each run. Take it steady through the programme and also through consolidation. You will find your pace increases naturally as you get better. :)

Thank you Pianism. It actually dawned on me today that although the C25K plan will end in a couple of weeks 🤞🏻 that I will continue with consolidation runs for a long time after. With this in mind I’m just going to take my time and hopefully enjoy each run. There is no rush 🐌🐌🐌

Absolutely! No rush at all. It was about week 8 when I realised that the end of C25k was actually the starting line in many ways....
