I'm on W4R2 and loving the feeling of actually looking forward to running. I do think my diet needs some work though. This is the first exercise program I've managed to stick with, so really pleased with myself although I think I was moderately fit before starting I didn't get much real steady going cardio in each week. Anyways I would love to know if there are any specific dietary regimes people are following with this to compliment your hard work? Sugar is my downfall! It doesn't help with all these Easter eggs around me😁
TIA
HAPPY EASTER🐣

I've not been following a diet plan as such but have been counting my calories using MyFitnessPal (it told me the other day that I'd logged on for 100 days continuously, which I think is a record for me!). I like the occasional tipple, cannot live without crisps and I'm not going to eat salad while everyone else has a juicy steak if we're eating out. Therefore, I've pared back my carbs (I don't have potato or rice with main meals now) and on an average day I stick to about 1500 calories. I don't really have a sweet tooth but when I do get a craving I either have a sweet drink (diet ginger beer with a slice of lime is the current favourite), or I'm quite partial to the sugar-free sweet range from Aldi.
Anyhow, it must be working because I'm just over 30lbs down in 15 weeks.
Good luck with finding something that works for you - the running definitely seems to super-charge any dieting efforts.
If interested I use the Samsung health app where you type in each day your breakfast, lunch and dinner and any snacks in between I've stuck to 1500 calories since may 2018 and lost two and a half stone. Hope this helps 😊
I'm using Team RH on Facebook. It doesn't tell me what to eat specifically but it does tell me how many calories I should be eating. I was shocked at how many I was allowed!! Some days I struggle to eat enough. They also gave me my macro-nutrients I should be aiming for throughout the day. Everything is recorded via My Fitness Pal and no food is out of bounds as long as you try to stick to the macros. I'll be honest and say it's more of an education than a diet. So many of the videos I could relate to and they're delivered in such a funny way. Like this forum, it's an amazing community. I haven't looked back since. Slow and steady is the key. Good luck on your journey!
I had a bmi of 32 when I started C25K last November so decided to join Sl*mm*ng W*rld and lost 2 Stone and now have a bmi of 27.5 - running is much easier when you weigh less. Their diet regime is balanced.
The other tips are never run on a full stomach (you may feel sick - I run on an empty stomach) and keep well hydrated (people say including the day before you run).
