Week9 Run 1 - dragged myself outta bed today

First time I have had to drag my sorry carcass out of bed for a run, think I was stressing about how much work I have today.

But - Spotify came though and shuffle played Boulevard of Broken Dreams as my warm up walk, any other time I would have said 6.30am was far to early to listen to THAT RACKET THANK YOU VERY MUCH, but it set me in the right mood. And the warm down walk happened to be Aerosmith Dream On which was also pretty apt.

Glad I did it, I did NOT look pretty on my return but 30 mins was achievable. Have finally worked out that for the first of the weekly runs, go extra slowlleee to adapt to the increased time and hopefully the next ones will be more achievable.

Have a good day everyone, happy running.

I couldn’t imagine running without music. It’s what keeps me putting one foot in front of the other. I suspect it may also be the reason I sometimes run faster than I should early on :-)

Boulevard Of Broken Dreams is a tune! Love that song...that is going on my mp3 player when I get one. Every credit going out at 6-30am...you will fly through all that work now.

I did my W9 R1 today and got a sodding great hill in the last 100m... it was like climbing out of hell!
