W6R1 done today. It was HARD! I don’t know why! Did my 20 min run a few days ago fairly comfortably. Feel a bit fed up. I do wonder if my pace was faster today?

Run 1 of week 6 tends to catch out many people with the interval walks and runs, when I congratulate people for running the 20 minutes of W5R3 I always warn them regarding run 1 of week 6, perhaps your pace was a little too fast today, for run 2 of week 6 which is the last run with interval walks do it a little slower than you did today.

Ok thank you. I think I was expecting it to feel really easy after the 20 min run a few days ago. Will slow down.

Snap! I did it this morning and found it very tricky but everyone in the forum said it could be. I think the euphoria of W5 R3 gave me the sense that I'm superwoman! Anyway, we did it so onwards and upwards. Good luck with R2.. I'm doing mine Tuesday, lemme know how you get on.

Did you have to say snap PVH1 - did mine this morning too but got to the last 60 Secs and ping went my calf! Grrr - but well done to all of you who managed to do it. It was a bit of a toughy wasn’t it?!

Sore but I’m sure it will be OK if I look after it. Swimming tomorrow but no joffling for a few days!!

Not to worry. Lots of folks have had the same reaction. After W5, we felt like “real” runners, and W6 is there to remind us we still have a bit to learn! 😂 Trust the program & keep soldiering on. You really are moving forward. And the old rule about slowing down if it feels tough is still a good one. 🏃🏼‍♀️👍 (Here is my mascot: 🐢)

Yes you are right! I didn’t think I could actually do the w5r3, so when I did it fairly easily-I was sooooo proud of myself! I must’ve been channelling Mo today and going too fast!

I’ve only just joined-because I found it so hard and thought I needed some support. It’s helpful to see there’s a trend!

Join the club, madmother. I found that run hard too. Still don't understand why. What I take from it is that there will be good runs and bad runs. I have had better runs since. Keep to the plan - it works - but don't force yourself to run too fast. It is running for the time that is important at the moment.

I agree. I found Run 1 and 2 really hard on Week 6. It knocked me back a bit tbh. As people say, just when you think you have cracked it. Been dreading Run 3 but now ive done my back in i will have to wait, plus probably go back a bit til i get going again.

Oh dear. Make sure you rest that back and don’t run until it’s better.

I’m going for run 2 tomorrow so will see how that feels 🤞🏻
