Try this... and make sure you stretch well after each run. Warm up really well and take the runs slowly and steadily.. try to land lightly, I call it kissing the ground with your feet:)

Take it gently and see how you go:)

Stretch and stretch some more. Plus massage roller. I cannot recommend a trigger point roller highly enough!! 5 mins each night and your calves will be transformed. Alternatively anyone you know that does sports massage?

I was worried about wk 4 as also has huge muscle ache after wk 3. BUT as everyone told me this does work and I today finished wk 4.

Istretched the achy muscles every day and it really helped!

You can do it x

Follow the advice above, but also to reduce impact run slowly, with footfall under the body, avoiding heelstrike and preferably on a soft surface such as grass. Also make sure you are wearing proper running shoes, fitted after a gait analysis done at a specialist running shop.

All this is covered in the guide to the plan healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

Running slowly any slower would be walking πŸ˜‚, had gait analysis bought recommended shoes and stretching when I come in. Going to try foam roller 🀞

Many people have to run slower than they walk until their body adapts and strengthens.
