Well, I hit the big 60 and decided to do a park run.
I graduated in December but have never managed to run more than 2 miles.
I have stuck to running at least three times a week at my own snails pace. I am getting slightly faster but remain very slow.
I am always out of breathe and sweating when I run.
My daughter ran with me on the park run and came in after me so that I didn’t come last (how lovely is she?)
I managed to complete the 5k with a combination of running and walking. I felt such a sense of achievement.
So anyone out there who is overweight and slow, don’t give up. If I can do it anyone can
