Finished W7 yesterday. Sensing lots of improvements, such as sleeping better, cutting out alcohol because it makes me feel muggy and less able to run and also too much of the less sensible food. I just don't want to stop once I get going. Think my body remembers from 50 years ago how to run as I was running for Warwickshire in cross country races and relays in my teens. A big plus has been getting less water retention although I don't seem to have lost much weight but my measurements are changing. It's made me feel more in control of my body's well being and less hung up on what's wrong with it. Thinking about going and getting fitted for proper running shoes rather than my cheapo supermarket ones. Anyone got advice on this?

I have curbed my own thirst for the libation fearing how it would impact my run the next day. Well done on your effort.
Excellent, you are getting some great benefits. Gait analysis?
Definitely!!, then a compulsory photo of the trainers 😊
Highly recommend gait analysis so you don't waste money on the wrong running shoes. If you are not sure where to go, post a general area on here and someone is bound to have a recommendation.
Any good shop will let you run outside to give them a try and offer a returns policy. Also be very honest about your current goals and the kind of terrain you will be running on.
During my fit i couldn't decided between 2 pairs so ended up running down the street with a different shoe on each foot
If you are on a tight budget let the shop know as they may have some of last seasons colours out the back.
Have fun
