I just ran for 25 mins..... I was out about 40 mins in total and covered 4.75k. a 5k park run feels almost within reach. As long as I can go slowly, bit worried I might be too slow yet. Would love to do one on my birthday as return to running. I have 5 weeks to speed up. Bought some new leggings as treat to myself. Don't make me go faster, but get lots of comments. π
Did I just do that......: I just ran for 25 mins... - Couch to 5K
Did I just do that......
Well done.
There is no time limit at parkrun and many walk some or all of the route, so you are unlikely to be last.
If still mid programme we recommend that you stick to the plan and walk the remainder, to avoid doing too much too soon.
Yes nice leggings Tippyrunn, don't worry about speed, you are doing very well indeed, you could sign on now for a parkrun but perhaps you should wait until you graduate.
Wow, those new leggings are fabulous!ππππππ
You are not too slow for a park run There are two near me. One is predominantly the local tri and running clubs and "slowest" time tends to be 45-50 mins. The other consistently has finish times of 60+ mins. Both are incredibly friendly so it's more a case of where you feel comfortable.
One point to remember is you will never be last as there is always a sweeper volunteer.
Also the ethos is to be inclusive and they really want to encourage all comers not just the gazelles x
