Hi I’ve just done my first run, had to stop five minutes early but I’m feeling so much better for making a start! Would love to connect with people who are in the same situation for support and maybe to run with xx

Hey! Well done! I did my first one on Saturday and 2nd one today. It feels great to actually take action doesn’t it! I’m learning loads at the moment (like I really need to do thorough stretching after) and have a WhatsApp group with a friend to share specifics about our runs and tips. I run on my own because I prefer to know I can go at my own pace but am looking into getting set up with music for my runs. When’s your next one?
You went out and made a start well done, try that run again and slow down as much as you can , you can do this 😊😊
Welcome and great job starting. Sounds like you probably ran too fast, lots of us do in run 1, so like Buddy says, slow down and go again.
You can do this... enjoy your journey.
Well done you for making the effort. My 1st run was a bit like that. Power walked the last 2 mini runs until I got to the end. My second was much more successful. I try to focus on what I have achieved rather than what I didn’t manage. Pace is key. Don’t go too fast. You will get there in time. We all do this at our own rate go with what’s comfortable for you. I’m confident we will all graduate however long it takes. Stick at it your doing fab!
Well done, I couldn't do the first run either, that was October, this morning I ran for 44 minutes not including warm up or down. I'm 58 and overweight this programme works, keep at it and good luck
Welcome to the forum and well done on getting started.

Enjoy your journey.
I did my first one yesterday. It was hard and I’m aching today. W1r2 tomorrow x
It'll be fine... My W1R1 was not so good either but I sort of enjoyed it and once I'd figured out that it was probably possible it just got better and better. The hardest part was definitely putting on suitable clothes and daring to step out my front door, then figuring out how to get the podcast to work on a smart phone that confounds me and keeping the earphones in. I now drive to heathland where my dog and I can run without anyone we know seeing us. W6R3 about to happen, it becomes compulsive.
