W5R1 : Starting W5 R1 today. I didn’t realise... - Couch to 5K
W5R1

Luck is something you won’t need... don’t fear that 3rd run... it’s actually the shortest cardio workout of week 5, and you’ll be ready to run it, slow and steady as you go.
Have a wonderful run today and be prepared to amaze yourself this week.

You’ll be fine if you have followed the plan. It is in the mind so go slow and steady. I repeated w6r3 twice and can’t believe I did it!

me too...dreading it gasped my way through the 3 x 5 mins

You can do this.
I completed w5R1 today and I loved it. Once I sorted out my breathing it’s felt so easy. Now lm looking forward to R2 💪

20 minutes is fine: by then you’ll have run for 15-16 minutes FIVE times. The difference is R3 is continuous but you’ll be ready for that - because today you reduced from three breaks to two, and in R2 you’ll reduce to one walking break. And then in R3 you reduce by one again, to no walking breaks. It’s a logical progression and you’re ready for it. Nevertheless, the feeling when you complete it is amazing. Enjoy!
