My Park Run in Brighton and Hove Park..

Yes, so I am on holiday but could not resist taking part in a Park Run while I am here in Brighton as I thought that it would be fun to do a Park Run somewhere else other than in my local park.

Most of the other runners were already there when I arrived, but I was not the last one to arrive. I just stood at where we were supposed to start the Run among others who are getting ready to their run. I looked around..gosh..the runners did look very much like proper professional runners in their proper running gear while I was in my usual running T and Shorts! The Runner in front of me wore a T Shirt that said that he did a Run from Norway to UK! I was only thinking not to make me the last to finish the run, not that it mattered but I would rather not be the last!

When the Run started I started with a high as I forgot that I have my own pace and got carried away with the other runners! I slowed down to my usual pace when I realised that I should not be running at the start so fast.

I ran all the way and finished the Run in 31 minutes and 29 Seconds. This is my PB in a Park Run and I am thrilled!

I would suggest Park Runs to anyone who can manage to run 5K, it is so much fun!!

Well done you and in a strange place too. I so want to do the 'round the world' park run and do every single one. That would've so good! Great time and I hope you are celebrating

Hi juicyju, I celebrated with a piece of Cake! (naughty, I know but had to 'celebrate'!) It would be great to do 'round the world' park runs, wow, that is a great idea! If you ever come to Oxford to do a Park Run, don't forget to let me know in advance, you can drop in for a cuppa as we live quite close to the park!

Woohooo! Good time!

One of the runners lining up in front of me this morning had a t-shirt which read Sub 2:00 hour HM. I can only dream!

Hi Beads, we started late you see....if we started when they started, we would have running in Olympics, don't you think?!! The fastest Runner finished his Run under 16 minutes, half of the time I spent!! They are so fast! I was not sure whether he ran or flew!
