Wooohoo!

So signed myself up for a half Marathon later this year, I am by no means a runner.. started the C25K

I've been progressing well! my route I have chosen even has a pretty decent hill to run up and down. All was going well until I finished week 3 and picked up bacterial tonsillitis!

After a week and a half off I decided to get back out in the wind and rain! after reading advice I decided to ignore the suggestion of going back to week 3 and pick up where I left off week 4 Run 1!

I did it and felt great!!! loving this so far! if anyone has any useful hints and tips I'm all ears

Good to hear you’re back out there and having fun. You’d have probably been ok carrying on, but it’s your call and your journey of course. When is the HM?

Hi UnfitNoMore,

Thank you for a prompt reply.

the HM is not till september so plenty of time to ramp up the distance.

Yeah... that’s good, top tip is to not push hard, it’s as much about avoiding injury as anything, slow and steady progress will have you ready at the start line... enjoy that journey.
