Start Again...

R1W1 completed last night. I started doing this before Xmas and then stopped due to an injury, but I'm determined to finish this time and to combine it with my gym sessions that I now do. Can anyone recommend a good app for tracking my runs and distance?

Nice that you have restarted C25K with run 1 of week 1, I use Mapmyrun to track my runs and distance, there is also Strava and some apps that 'talk' to you telling you if you are not running fast enough, although those apps are for graduates and runners that want to run long distances.

Its not so important in the early weeks but I used Strava once I started the longer runs. The free version provides lots of info, but don’t get hooked on speed at this stage, just concentrate on completing the times set in the plan. Good luck. It’s a great programme.

Well done for getting going again - getting injured must have been really frustrating. Lots of runners I know use strava but I agree with other people about the time vs distance thing...I have (almost) resisted checking out my distance - I’m saving that for my consolidation runs after next week. We are achieving such a lot my going on though the timed runs and by picking ourselves up and doing it again when we have to...I am quite looking forward to having an actual 5k as a new goal after I finish.
