Lost mojo everything... so back to basics and couch to 5k again.

I learned that someone who you married and loved can hurt you really bad if you tell people of their abuse.

About to lose my home but now looking at it as a positive, then you have nothing else to take from me.

Running will clear them demons and I may have nothing but I can hold my head up as I’m not the person that destroys people’s lives.

Life is what it is ... although someone can only break you once

Welcome back to the best family in the world 😊

Sorry to hear you're having a tough time lately but let me just say that you have something that some people never find and this is strength, courage and determination and maybe a bit of stubbornness, all of which will see you through this blip.

I call it a blip as it happened to me quite a few years ago and I came out 100% stronger than I went in. Take each and every day as it comes and say to yourself "I am better than this and I can do this" and never ever let anyone tell you you're not worth it because you are 😊

Keep coming back to this forum for advice as the people on here are fantastic.

Keep running but most of all keep smiling because trust me it annoys the hell out of the people who put you down and took you for granted 😁😁 xx

Oh goodness.... welcome to the forum...

Lots of encouragement here and support... follow the programme, take your rest days and start to feel stronger and fitter. mentally and physically, with every week that passes.

Please... be kind to yourself, get help from those who can help you and stay strong.

Don't know if this may help at all... ?

I’m under women’s aid etc and new pathways... the gp offered anti depressants so I asked could I try running again first

Sorry that you have been having such a traumatic time. You are no longer a victim but a survivor.

So back to the running... Back to living... Back to being in control. Running really helps with building confidence, strength and stamina and that's what you need right now. You've done the programme before so you can do it again. Keep checking in for positivity and share your successes :)

Good luck!

You have the spirit and the determination to get you through anything, you are amazing so I hope you enjoy the running and that everything else falls into place... Well done you 😀

Under local SARC centre and hoping that the running stops the trauma so to speak

Thank you ... I really don’t think I have the spirit... but it’s all I have left.

Running I hope will help stop the tears ... something has to give and running will either make or break me

We have tear ducts for a reason. A good one - if we kept our sorrows pent up it would destroy us. When there are no words, no thoughts to get the sadness out the years will suffice.

There is no shame in crying for good reason. The bravest man I ever knew cried for his dead brother even fifteen years after his passing.

Cry for now - it will leave room for the laughter that will come later as you put a new and better life together. ;)

Life likes to throw those curve balls at us, that's for sure. My beautiful, kind and trusting daughter is going through the same thing. I am constantly amazed by her positive attitude and of course we will help her get through this all we can.

Don't look at this as the end of something but instead the beginning of the next chapter of your life. Live it for you.

Get out there and feel the wind on your face, the ground under your feet. Onward and upward. Good luck :-)

Shift nearly over — not run for at least 6 months but asking for thoughts shall I start at week 3 or week 4 ??

Sometimes it's better to be alone than wishing you were alone.

I wish there were better words to give you some comfort and support - I would certainly say them if I knew them.

You have my genuine respect in deciding you would defy your violent oppressor. That takes a lot of true course on some very tough levels.

My very best wishes to you in what sounds like an uncertain future - but one that is free from the violence you have been subjected to.

Run with us here. You might run on your own, but with us - we never run alone :)

Thank you ... just about to finish work and in tears as my safety net for the day has gone. But I need to do something to take the focus away from all the trauma. And I’m praying running is it !!!

It will certainly help :) Keep focusing on your newfound freedom. - It's scary, but exciting, anything can happen - which INCLUDES the wonderful things, not just the bad. :)

You are going through a tough time, and it must feel quite bleak. I can't begin to imagine how you are feeling.

My thoughts are with you and hope you can use running to give you some head space.

You've had a break from running so maybe try a run from week 3 and if it's easy move on to week 4 then you'll soon get to know what your body can manage.
