Did my first Parkrun this morning. It was great. Thank you so much to Equi-geek who met me at the start and ran with me. I managed to run all the way without stopping to walk, which I don’t think I could have done without my buddy keeping me going.
My token said 610 th place, and Strava said it was my PB at 41:06. I’m really happy with that and will definitely be going again!

New goal, to get under 40 mins.

Lovely to meet you! Great effort this morning - top running! Glad I could help show you the ropes. That second lap back straight can catch a lot out when going anti-clockwise! Next week it's back to the clockwise way round, the week after that is the one where we can't run because of the cani-cross event.

I had walked the course many times with my dog a few years back, so running it, I was surprised at how hilly it is!! It isn’t really but where I normally run is really flat and in my mind the park is quite flat!! It was a really lovely atmosphere though, and I will definitely be going back again.
They do become addictive
