Did my first Parkrun this morning. It was great. Thank you so much to Equi-geek who met me at the start and ran with me. I managed to run all the way without stopping to walk, which I don’t think I could have done without my buddy keeping me going.

My token said 610 th place, and Strava said it was my PB at 41:06. I’m really happy with that and will definitely be going again!

Thanks to everyone on here for your lovely support too.

New goal, to get under 40 mins.

Lovely to meet you! Great effort this morning - top running! Glad I could help show you the ropes. That second lap back straight can catch a lot out when going anti-clockwise! Next week it's back to the clockwise way round, the week after that is the one where we can't run because of the cani-cross event. :D x

Well done, Swindon is on my to do list. How did you find the course ?

I had walked the course many times with my dog a few years back, so running it, I was surprised at how hilly it is!! It isn’t really but where I normally run is really flat and in my mind the park is quite flat!! It was a really lovely atmosphere though, and I will definitely be going back again.
