Haven't run since Monday

So after my difficult run on monday, I haven't run since as I've not felt well so decided to take a few days off. I'm going to run again tomorrow. I've decided to repeat week 7, maybe just 1 run maybe the 3 it depends how I feel. Think I'll be setting myself up to fail if I head straight for wk 8. I hope the 2 runs I've missed ( weds and tonight) won't set me back to far? I just haven't felt up to it.

You are in control, but if you completed all three W7 runs then I doubt you will have any problems with an extra three minutes, even if the last run was not brilliant.

So I repeated a 25min run, out of the 25 i had to walk twice, 3.5mins walking overall. Just don't know why I can't do it 😢😢

You won’t have lost any fitness... so I’m thinking the same as IannodaTruffe. It’s your journey though and those 25s are wonderful runs, with the warmup they meet the NHS required 30 minute cardio session guidelines, so nothing lost in repeating... just don’t repeat so much that you fear 28... you got 28... and much more.

Well, considering where you were last month that’s pretty good going! When I have a few days off I tend to run quicker without realising it, and this is pretty common, so maybe that came into play? As we are pushing the limits of our fitness on the plan, a small increase in pace makes a big difference. Don’t worry, and don’t over think it... just celebrate what you can do now compared to day one.

Good, you should rest if you’re feeling under the weather. In my experience the first week off gives your body time to get stronger. It’ll be busy making muscles and you might find you come back stronger. Try a week7 run and see how you feel, you can always add on the extra minutes on at the end if you’ve still got something left in the tank. It’s all good practice if not. Good luck!

You can do it but not at that pace. Go more slowly. Even if people are walking past you so long as you're jogging it's helping your cardio. Instead of walking jog really really slowly, then speed up again when you've got your breath back. It's also how to get up hills, and yes people do walk past me on hills!!🐌🐌😀
