So far so good. Half way bell left me a few mins from home after a Laura waved me good bye but I made it. Whichever way I turn out of the house though, there will always be an uphill in the last run which must be good for the lungs and legs if not for the soul!

I so empathise with you.. I have only one downhill bit if I head out..then loads of inclines... and then you have to come back up it..BUT..it is good for you.. ( honestly) I cannot believe how strong it has made my legs and the rest of me!
I am on HM training now and have had to start to learn how to run on flat ground!
If you take the hills gently they become second nature and some of my fastest personal bests are on uphill stretches.
So.. a huge well done to you and what a super start to your day...
Onward and .... err...upward!!

I have found out how fast I am on flat stretches.. and it is slow.... ! But I am working on it!!
