Got wet again! But week 9 is underway!

Pouring down yet again, now I know I look ridiculous in lycra there is no need for the weather gods to throw wind and rain at me to try and keep me indoors so I don't either scare the neighbours.

Week 9 session 1 completed though.

Have decided that as a treat for finsihing the program, assuming the next two sessions go according to plan, I am going to treat myself to a decent pair of running shoes. There is a local Up and Running shop that does gait analysis so will go there.

This week seemed so far away back in Mid December when I started the program. Feels good to have got this way.

  • You're a big lad so wind and rain, cold etc shouldn't bother you. We generally get out there whatever the weather. You soon get acclimatised, you'll see

Good job on getting to week 9. Just 2 more runs! Wooohoooooo. Go steady and see you at the finish line.

We might think we look crap in lycra but no-one else gives a stuff, so don't worry about it. It actually sucks everything in quite well. LOL

  • It definitely does! I'm squeezed in mine like a sausage 😂

  • Yeay! Go you... the weather is just testing you... but you showed it!

Well done very nearly there! :)

  • Well done andy :) 2 runs and graduation is yours :)

  • The finish line is in sight, well done! What are your plans after graduating?

  • Aim to keep running. Will try some park runs I think. Also going to look at any programs that take you to 10k.

  • You're almost at graduation, well done!! You'll have to post a picture of your new shoes once you've got them. Good luck for the rest of this week!!

  • That looks like really good run. Definitely try parkrun to get your new shoes dirty ! Hoping you have a good graduation week.

  • Fantastic Andy ! Flippin' rain , it never stops does it ? You showed true Yorkshire grit though and kept on going , Well done !

I used to go out with a lad from Huddersfield many years ago. His name was Gordon Bennett ! Ha ha , it still makes me chuckle ! :-) xxx

  • At least the rain keeps most people at home - so there's nobody out there to see you running. That's what I think anyway!

  • Well done Andy! This is great and graduation is just round the corner, you're doing brilliantly :) Lycra is a cruel, very skinny persons invention - turns everyone into unflattering sacks of ferrets... pah, who cares, we're running and proud! :)

  • The lycra look, designed to motivate you to keep going so people dont laugh at you for too long. lol
