Do I need a rest day?

Ive just completed W7R1 (yayyy, go me) but due to work commitments will struggle to complete Thursday and Sunday. Now, I was thinking, should I do Run 2 tomorrow? Im really slow, so maybe I dont need rest days in the same way.

No idea about Run 3 but at least its only 1 run to worry about if I can do W7R2 tomorrow.

Any thoughts?

Tempting as it is, and I'm sure you don't want to lose momentum, I would not advise running tomorrow. Of course it's up to you.

You can pick up week 7 next week, you won't have lost any fitness in that time .😊

Well done.

When you run the impact creates microtears in your muscles which repair and strengthen on your rest days, not while running. With no rest, no repair, no strengthening and so increased injury risk.

New runners are recommended not to run on consecutive days for at least six months of regular running and extra cardio work.

Take care.

Risk... injury that could keep you out for months... reward... finishing this plan a couple of days sooner. Personally, I think it’s a no brainer.
