Can’t quite believe I’ve got this far! I’m just wondering if anyone else finds themselves obsessively wondering how much time left on each run. I don’t look at the app when running, just listen but I find myself constantly trying to guess how much more there is to go til I can walk again!! I listen to music but that doesn’t seem enough a distraction. Podcasts maybe??

Sometimes I do... I try not to look too. Podcasts can help in that they make it even more of a mystery how long is left... also they can distract the mind away from running... really helped with my breathing.

Try a running commentary to yourself of everything that you can see, hear and feel as you run.

As IannodaTruffe says.. focus on other things... I run. look around, sights, sounds, sensations...then I write about the runs Try keeping a running log... try making up rhymes, or names for folk you pass... lots of tactics...
Also, don't dismiss focusing on different aspects of your running... the way you land, how relaxed you are etc... it passes the time wonderfully
Ive been listening to the run, selfie, repeat podcasts. I really struggled with Wk6R1 but the podcast really helped.

I count whilst I’m running - 1 count every 4 steps. 5 minutes is about 180 - then I start again. Don’t know if it helps or hinders but keeping me going so far! (Week 7 now)

I was the same till wk 7/8. Once there are no walking bits I tended not to bother about how long left as it was all running. Once I got used to the longer runs it seemed easier to get distracted and not guessing when the break was coming.

How did you find W5R3? Was that the same?
Interesting thought. Maybe not in the same way. I found the run yesterday harder in a weird way so maybe I’m gearing up to WK7 full on running. They do say going back to intervals in W6 can catch you out.
I can see why. I just did as I was told But I also purposefully changed my route on the longer runs. I went round and round the football field for my interval training and "saved" exploring the river path for my longer runs. It's actually added a whole new dimension to the experience. I'm actually looking forward to dropping the app for 1 run each week and just doing what feels right.
