Wow! I’ve been following threads on here since week 1, not quite believing that I could do it, but I’ve just run the previously dreaded 20min nonstop run at the end of week 5, and it was fine! I decided to drive to Bushy Park where I knew there was a 5k circuit and no traffic to contend with, and with the sun rising, and low frosty mist, and the deer, it was all quite magical! I’m a very fast walker so my ‘run’ is not much faster than my walk, but I tried to run at a slower pace to previous runs and took it 5 minutes (or a track and a half) at a time. Had some good 80s singalong tracks on my playlist and went for it. Until the last couple of weeks, The furthest I’d ever run was the 800m at school almost 40 years ago and I was pretty much last in that, so am sitting here with a big grin on my face now!

Parkrun planned for Saturday wk6r2 which is the 10-2-10 run, and I plan to follow the app rather than the crowd. Looking forward to it!

Excellent work ! ⭐️ I loved getting through 5:3 - such a feeling of triumph ! I just wished my old PE teachers had been there to see it 😄 All the best with the Parkrun - follow your plan and have a great time x
