Well, today was finally Graduation Day and a lovely sunny day to achieve it on.
It has taken me a little longer than the anticipated 9 weeks, but never the less I have made it. The C25K is a great programme for none runners like me, but with the help from the celebs who talk you through it, and all the runners and administrators who offer there support and enthusiasm on this site, its priceless. Thank you.
Next up for me is the Robin Hood half marathon, fortunately I've got a little more time to prepare for that.
Have a lovely weekend all!

Congratulations ' mick007' on graduating and completing week 9 run 3 of C25K, it did not matter that you took a little longer than 9 weeks. π
To get your graduation badge and the word GRADUATE next to your username leave a message on the February graduate post in the pinned posts on the right side of the healthunlocked C25K home page and tell the administrators that you have ran W9R3 of C25K π π π
Well done ππΌ I too anticipate it taking me longer than the β9β weeks (currently on wk3/3 having started at the end of December, completing wk1&2 approx 4-5 times) however itβs all progress. I too am a non runner! And at 47 having never done any exercise Iβm feeling quite proud of myself for even getting out of the front door! So we defo need a pat on the back π πββοΈ
Well said and thank you 123-wjt, And now the light nights are approaching it will make it more enjoyable. Take your time and have your rest days. And a big pat on the back to you too, Good luck ππ·
Congratulations on your graduation day well done , mine as well today doesn't it feel great and by the way it took me 17 weeks but I don't care we did it ππ
Just consolidating what I've already done for the next few weeks then there's a few other things to try attached to c25k like stepping stones and stamina then speed what about youπ
Ultimately I've let myself in for a half marathon like an idiot but that's a long way off, in the meantime, a few park runs, work up to 10k and the waterwipeout in July which looks interesting, watch this space!!!
Thank you Raine-45, looking forward to the light nights now as not a morning runner! Good luck with your journey, looks as though your almost there!π
I ran yesterday morning and I'm definitely an evening runner! I was going out to a party last night and knew I wouldn't want to run today π isn't it funny we are creatures of habit!
It takes me until the evening to warm up. Not that I'm an old croc just yet!! But I do like a glass or two in the evening which might have something to do with it, that's one habit I can't seem to shake offπ·π!
