Struggling with wk4r2 would it be worth going back a week or Carry on
Wk4r2: Struggling with wk4r2 would it be worth... - Couch to 5K
Wk4r2
No, but run the third run of week 4
slower than you did on run 1 and 2, you can repeat any runs or week's as you wish rather than going back to any week unless you have been off running altogether for more than two weeks.
I’ve got W4R2 today, R1 was tough but I managed it. I think you should carry on with the program, but take it easy on the pace so you can complete the run times.
I’m 52, never run before & clearly no expert, I get quite nervous with each step up but I’m really believing in the program.
Good luck
At any stage if you struggle, just slow down.
You can't fail this programme unless you head permanently back to the couch.
This might put it into perspective healthunlocked.com/couchto5...
You can do this.
Just give it a go - slowly. If you don't make it through the whole run as per plan, just try the same run again after a rest day. Keep plugging away. You don't ever 'fail' - you just work towards the next step. check out the link in @IannodaTruffe's reply above. It's a great read, but he pretty much says it all in one line "C25k is a series of challenges, superbly constructed to keep us progressing to the target of 3 x 30 minute runs. None of them should be dreaded or feared...". Just think how much you have achieved so far, and keep taking those little steps. You'll get there, like so many others who have doubted themselves on this programme, and surprised themselves in the end.
