First and last run after eating

Mother-in-law made me a huge roast dinner and I chose to wolf this down for tea and then go for a run about 2 hours after finishing - never again. Worst stomach cramps all the way today and could have happily thrown up. Not an enjoyable experience and not one I will be repeating ever again!

That just shows you that even after two hours going for a run after a big meal is not advisable. When I was doing C25K most of my runs were around 9 am, about 90 minutes after my breakfast which was OK,

I can't even go for a walk 2 hours after a roast, so well done for trying!

Gentle hugs for the cramps x

The biggest danger is from your mother-in-law finding out you blame her roast for your cramps and nausea 😆. My worst food experience was running shortly after eating stuffed peppers for lunch - more repeats than daytime TV!

It was awful - my stomach felt like it was going to explode 🤣 I’ll stick to waiting until I get back in the future

Ouch. Then ouch. I learned to take a break after just a couple of boiled eggs and a piece of toast. Your stomach had no idea what your brain was doing and they aren’t the best of mates at all times. Now the brain has learned. ;)
