Last run done.. or first park run complete

Okay week 9, run 3 completed this morning and it was the Belton park run. I literally had to drag my carcass there - I was laying in bed .. "shall I? hmmm looks like rain" Looking out of the window seeing the trees blowing all over the place. I got my gear on and just went. But I found it hard. I thought running in a group would be easier. It was really windy and raining a bit but I ran all the way and did not stop. Being overtaken by 6 and 7 year olds though!!! boo hoo :-/

My time was 35:14 and I came 115 out of 143. I hope the conditions will be better next time. It felt sooo much longer than 3.1m.

There isn't one at Belton next week cos of the Bank Holiday. Might check out another venue instead though. I will definitely do it again - I have got to improve on that time!

Well done! Happy graduation!!!

Whats wrong with that time? I was delighted with mine at 36.14 today. 35.14 is great!!! ☺

Just pressure from other people .. thank you. I am just glad to run for that long without having to stop - especially in that weather.

Congratulations! You should be proud - especially as it was hard. 5k on your graduation run is something to celebrate!

Congratulations on your graduation, well done you.

Since everyone seems to count distance and minutes of running now I'm wondering if I should have because throughout the c25k, I've never checked out distant or minutes per kilometer of running, I'm just concentrating on the ability to be able to run only.

I'm hoping to go out later and start W9. 😨

Don't worry about it! Speed and distance comes later. Focus on graduation first and then afterwards you can start thinking about other aspects.

Never even noticed someone taking photographs today. I am going to buy a black running top - bright colours show flab :-( I look horrendous on those photos so diet time. Gutted.

Listen carefully - you are a runner. You are doing what probably ninety five percent of the people taking photographs can't/won't do. You are NOT a photograph - you are a real breathing living and going from your posts extremely nice person. I dated an honest-to-goodness Model many years ago (very long and bizarre story but I think she was just bored ) and it was not a great experience. All she was really were her looks. I also dated a lady who was extremely attractive looking in person but who looked like crap in ANY photo that was ever taken of her. I've seen the reverse also - some people look good in two dimensions and others don't.

I really hate it that so many people are afraid of how they THINK they look. You NEVER see yourself really - all you see is a two or even three dimensional representation of what you look like in a mirror or on a relatively tiny screen.

Honest - I am going to wear some absolutely outrageous hat when I do my first Charity run. I'm goind to feel so darn happy that I CAN run I want others who can't to be smiling also and if it takes me looking like Quasimodo in a circus act...well, that's funny as heck when you think about it. :)

Dress like a Goth or a Rainbow - but do it for YOU because that's all that matters if you are a nice person in life. :)

Congratulations on your graduation! Well done. 35 minutes is perfectly respectable so don't beat yourself up. Enjoy your Saturday evening, I suggest a few celebratory drinks

Congratulations on your graduation and your first 5k! And on getting out there despite bad weather!

Do not feel bad about your time, it was brilliant. I graduated in May and have only recently done 5k under 35 minutes. You are doing so well!
