By golly that was hard/rubbish W1R2

Started out well, sorted out my music which always helps me , tried running in softer ground after being stiff for two days after R1 . Managed the first 5 runs, then could not complete the remaining three and ended up just walking for the last 4mins .

It was soooo hard!

But I’m determined to keep going (at my own pace) and not let this put me off

You may be running too fast?

I found this very useful in helping me to slow my running down

I’m a fast walker anyway, so my brisk walk is very fast, I had to learn to go from brisk walk to slow run & that turned things round for me. I’m running 3x30 a week and still going slowly! Have a rest day, try this out, and see how you get on. Good luck!

Try this run again and go as slow as you possibly can see if it helps😊

Take it slow, and if it hurts, take it slower. It’s the style that matters, not the pace. It took me nine weeks of repeats just to get through week 1, so you’re well ahead of me 😁

Wow well done you for persevering 👍

I think I’m probably going to have to repeat week 1 a couple of times , tell me how you do that, do you just “reset”?

With people like you here showing me that it’s not just a do it or fail thing I’m sure I can get it!

You definitely can do it - you just have to want to enough ! If you’re only repeating week 1 you can just reset. If you want to repeat an individual run, click on the yellow circle and the programme will ask if you want to repeat. Say yes and off you go. Some people struggle with repeats, thinking that needing to repeat is the same as failing, but it’s not so. Everyone is different, and we’re all making new demands on our bodies; some take more time to adapt than others. Always remember the First Rule of C25k: The only run you fail is the run you don’t go for ! Enjoy your journey x
